Samuel Raju, Director of the Skinner's Garden. He works with poor, widows, lepers and other needy souls, as well as working with local Christians to establish and advance congregations of the Church of Christ. His wife 'Salome' is a Christian even before they were married, she taught him the truth so that he obey. After becoming a christian had gone to preacher training School. He has been the minister since 1979 at Bikkavolu Church of Christ, and served as the director for Bikkavolu Bible School, Children Home until 1999. He has a faithful family all of them are actively involved in the Lord's work, he has obtained honor and high respect in the society through his unselfish social and religious service. In 1990 Lord's congregation was established at Skinner's Garden, from then onwards Lord's ministry began expanding. In 1995, Winfield Skinner Memorial Children Home was dedicated to care for needy and orphan children. Initially there were only 15 children, but now there are 87 children aging from 4 - 16. Skinner's Garden also a place for Widows Home, taking care of in-house widows and several widows time to time providing with supplies and clothing. Philip's Literacy Welfare Center has it's organizing office at Skinner's Garden. This organization is committed to help the villagers in rural areas to read and write. Other charitable and social welfare activities are during imes natural calamities (Floods,Typoon, Earth Quake, TSunami etc.,)he director of the social services and other rehabilitation programs sponsored by the Bikkavolu Charitable Society. He had a strong desire to start at Bible Shool at Skinner's Garden to train youngmen as preachers and young women to be teachers. Winfield Skinner and other devoted men of God had similar vision which resulted the begining Six Weeks Bible Training program. By the grace of God, in 1996, Samuel started this school at skinner’s garden, Singampalli. After 4 years this program, the school has grown to have one-year training program. In October 2003, school has acquired a new name and program to train 15 graduates for every 2 years. Samuel is a dedicated evangelist, who strive for the purpose of HIS calling. He was raised in a godlyfamily, under the influence of a denominational group. But, converted to the Lord's Church with the help of his wife Salome in 1978. He has been a faithful member of the Church since then. He was moved by the desperate need of GOSPEL in the state of Andhra Pradesh. He served as translator to several missionaries as a translator. His determination to spread the gospel motivated him start gosple out reach programs like Gospel Evangelism Campaigns, Preachers Fellowship Meetings. It is all begun in 1979, that is reaching the unreached millions, to rescue them the eternal punishment. He also determined to see a Bible in the hands each Christian whom he come acorsss. John Dean (36), Eldest son of Samuel Raju. Now serving as Dean of the Skinner's Garden Bible School, Skinner's Garden. He is working with a youth group formed with the youth from local congregations at Bikkavolu and Skinner's Garden. He has a faithful wife, his best companion. John Dean, completed his secular education obtaining a Post Graduate degree in computer applications (MCA) from Andhra University, India. He resigned the secular job and dedicated his life for the mission of rescuing lost souls in India. Biblical education: He has obtained a 3-year diploma in Bible, from a distance learning school, that was supported by Piedmont Road Church of Christ, GA. In 2006 Obtained with BA degree (Bible Major) from Heritage Christian University, Florence, AL, USA. Also graduated with MA degree (New Testament) from the same University. He has been a faithful member of the Church. He is actively involved in the Lord's work in all the places he lived so far. While studying at HCU, USA, he preached at number of congregations and been to thee Southern Pacific Island as a missionary (American Samoa, Samoa, Christmas Island). He is now focusing on the Bible school, with an emphasis to training the next generation preachers. We are hoping that, the growth of the school would reach up to our expectation in train the effective communicators of gospel in India.
Vijaya Kumar (35), is son of Samuel Raju following John Dean. Now he is serving as the Principal of Skinner Garden Bible School. Very actively involved in the out reach programs and a good singer too. He has a faithful wife, she is the best companion too. He obtained a Master degree in Computer Science from Andhra University, India. In the Biblical education, he has obtained a 3-year diploma in Bible, from a distance learning school, that was supported by Piedmont Road Church of Christ, GA. Currently working to finish his MA degree from BVBID extension school. He is very practical in leading the youngmen and strengthening the congregations, his chief focus is on village evangelism. John Dean and VJ both are eloquent translators, usually they assist missionaries interpreting thier lessons into the mother tounge, telugu. Both of them have extensive knowledge of the Scripture. Samuel's entire family has the same commitment, that is spreading the gospel and serving the needy, they are always working together in thier capacities, it is always a team work when they work together.
